Dancing in the Cow Pasture

I can't remember how it started. But my sweet little boy likes to dance with his momma.

You see, we like to watch older classic movies at our house. You know the ones with Gene Kelly, Bing Crosby and Debbie Reynolds?  Well sometime around the age of two Cooper started wanting to dance with me every time a dancing scene came on in whatever movie we happened to be watching. And because I'm the kind of mom, who knows that her baby is only going to be this age once, and that it goes by all to quickly, I dance with him.

In the middle of our living room on the cow hide rug, we dance.  We don't do it right by any means. And my toes get stepped on way too much.  But we have created a memory and one day he will never ask me to dance with him again. He will grow up and be more interested in bigger and better things. But I will still have the memory of his little hand holding mine as we danced on the living room rug.

Tonight, while we were feeding cattle, Cooper had an idea out of the blue. I'm not sure what made him think about it, we hadn't watched any movies or shows with dancing in several days, but he turned to his daddy and asked if he could turn the radio on in the pick up. He wanted to dance with his mommy in the cow pasture.

Hope you created a precious memory today!
Amy
