On An Adventure

Well, I survived!

Today was Cooper's first BIG field trip! We went to the Zoo! For a little boy who doesn't have to ride the bus to school, the two hour bus ride to the city was pretty exciting!!

We couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was absolutely beautiful. There have been times when I've been visiting the zoo and it was so hot it was miserable. But not today, it was perfect!

And since it was so nice all the animals were out enjoying the weather with us. Our first stoop was the rhino. Rhinoceroses are Coopers absolute favorite. He can even tell you the difference between the white and black rhino.

We watched the Giraffes for a long time. The Ostriches were housed with them and there was this one sneaky ostrich that kept sneaking up behind the giraffes and pinching them on the bottom! All the boys thought that was hilarious!

We saw lots of other animals too, like the Sea Lion, Okapi, Flamingo, and Tortoise. But, the highlight of the day was just being on an adventure with my boys. Spending the day with them without any other worries to get in the way! Time with them goes by way to fast and before I know it, they won't want me to accompany them on any more adventures. And they will be making their own.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
