My Kitchen Favorites

I Tonight, while I was cooking supper, I grabbed my phone and snapped a few pics of the things in my kitchen that I love.

1.) My Lodge Cast Iron
I love cooking on my range. (And one of these days, I'm going to have a six burner stove.) And the best way to cook on a gas range is with cast iron. I love my cast iron!  I use them all the time. As a matter of fact, the griddle that you see in the pic rarely gets put away because I use it so much. It's the perfect place to make toast, eggs in the hole, pancakes, grilled cheese, toasted sandwiches, bacon, scrambled eggs......see why I don't put it away very often. I use it at least once every day!  And yes, that is bacon grease that I hadn't washed off yet. That is the best way to season your skillets. Works every time.

2.)Rada spatula
I love these spatulas. At least I think that's what they are called. I actually have three but I honestly could use more. They work great for cooking meat, they are thin and sharp enough to chop. They flip pancakes or take cookies off the cookie sheet. They will flip grilled cheeses and hamburgers. They make fried okra and potatoes....see they are the ultimate all purpose utensil!!

3.)My little helper
I honestly don't know how I get anything done with him between me and the cabinet....I mean I don't know how I would ever get anything done without my little helper...

4.)My little pigs
Ok, I know they are not kitchen tools, but I love my pigs! I got the little spotted one several years ago from a little pharmacy where we used to live. I don't usually buy things like that, but he was just so cute I  couldn't resist and he has been helping me wash dishes ever since. The cute floral pig is actually a vintage piggy bank I got from my Aunt Nana millions of years ago. They keep each other company and make me smile every day.

5.)My Lemonade Pitcher
I absolutely love this blown glass pitcher. I bought it on vacation last year from silver dollar city. I had wanted one for several years and never found one big enough or colorful enough until last year. It works perfect for two packets of lemonade.  I think it's so beautiful!

6.)My Wood Cutting Boards
Another item I bought at silver dollar city are these two beautifully hand made cutting boards. My mom has a wood cutting board that she got when she got married and she has always left it setting outbon the counter. I have always thought it was beautiful and that I would like to have one some day. I'm so glad I broke down and purchased one of these because I use it all the time and it cleans up so easily. Here is a link to their website:  http://www.forhisglorycuttingboards.com/

Hope you all have a happy Wednesday!
