Vacation Part 2

One of my favorite stories from our vacation, that I have been wanting to share with you, was when Cooper got picked to go down onto the stage.  We went to a dinner show called Round up On the Trail.  It was at the Shepard of the Hills.  I actually think it was the best meal we ate the whole

 trip!  We had a chuck wagon cooked meal and the entertainment was a singing cowboy group, called New Trail. They were really good and we enjoyed listening to them.  The main guy asked if Cooper could come up on stage and help him with some rope tricks.  

Cooper insisted on taking Dollar, the puppy he made while at Silver Dollar City.  And when the Cowboy showed him how to spin the little rope (It's hard to see in the pic above, but Cooper is holding a little blue trick rope) he actually roped Dollar.  But that wasn't my favorite part....

You never know how your kid is going to act when they are let loose in public.  Or worse, what they might say.  Cooper did pretty good answering his questions and staying on track until he decided to tell the cowboy about his new shoes.  He told him that they made him fast and he could jump in them really high.  Everyone laughed and Cooper was proud of himself. But then, the cowboy started swinging the rope around Cooper and what does Cooper do?  Most people just stand there and smile, but not my kid.  He proceeds to jump up and down like he is jumping rope.  The audience of course burst out in laughter, which then only causes him to jump more!

 

It was hilarious!  Luckily, I was able to catch most of it on video.  Cooper was made feel so special and he still talks about it.  I think that this is something he will remember for a long time....

 

Even though he didn't make it through the whole show.
