My Kitchen Window

This is my kitchen window from the inside.  It is above my kitchen sink, which is where I think most kitchen windows usually are.  But, this particular window has something that other windows don't have; a great view!

This is the spotted pig that sits on the sill of my kitchen window and makes smile every time I look at it!

This is the tree with the tire swing, that within a few years I'll be able to watch my son playing on while I'm washing dishes.

Oh, wait!  It doesn't have a tire swing.

I guess somebody is just gonna have to build one for me. (Hint Hint)

This is my willow tree with the Adirondack chairs where I like to sit and read on cool mornings.

And this, this is my favorite view.

My husband doing yard work, or working in the shop, (which actually takes up most of my view), or grilling hamburgers, or mowing the yard...

On this particular evening, he's finishing up my flower bed.

Maybe, before long I'll be able to show you pictures of it splashed with color from the flowers I've planted, but I've got to have this kid first.

I like watching him work outside.  Not just because he builds me cool things and mows the yard so I don't have to, but because he's happy when he's outside.  And I like to see him happy.  And one day, before long, I'll get to watch him doing all the same things listed above with a little shadow following him around trying to be just like his daddy!
