This makes Me Laugh

For some reason, every time LB gets ready to put his boots on, Baby J thinks he needs help.

As soon as LB is done tying, Baby J tugs on the laces and then helps pull his pant legs down.  It is so sweet, but makes me laugh every time.  I don't know where he came up with the idea that he needed to help daddy, but I don't care.  It's these moments I love most!

Sakes Alive! A Cattle Drive

We checked this book out from the library a couple months ago and Baby J  just absolutely loved it!

So, being the kind of mom that likes to make my baby smile, I bought him his very own copy.  It came in last week and instead of waiting until Christmas, I went ahead and let him have it.
It made him smile.

He was so excited, that when we had company later that evening, he wanted to show it to his great Grandma.

Then as soon as she was finished reading it to him, he took it to his Grandma Elle for her to read to him!

I'm so glad Baby J loves to read.

If you're interested in making your baby smile, you should check this book out from the library:  Sakes Alive! A Cattle Drive by Karma Wilson

Enjoy Reading!

The Little Red Healer

A couple weeks ago, we went to my family's reunion at my Aunt's house.  (see post from yesterday)  While we were there, her neighbor's dog came for a visit and Baby J immediately fell in love.

He carried this dog around with him almost the entire time we were there.

He even tried to give him a bath!
(sorry Aunt Nana!)

It was sad when we left, he wanted to take the puppy home with us.
When he woke up from his nap he even asked me "Where my puppy?"

I guess I know what to get him for Christmas!

Family

This is my family!

I have two sisters, who are both married.  And my older sister has three kids.

And this is the rest of them...

Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, second cousins....

It was fun watching the new generation of family meet each other.

I wish I had gotten more pictures.  I ended up sitting and visiting then chasing around a two year old  little boy.  Maybe next year I'll get a few more pictures.

P.S.  I went to my family reunion a couple weeks ago.  Just in case you were wondering.

Playing Trucks with Great Grandpa

I really don't have a lot to say about these pictures.  It was just a sweet sentimental moment that I happened to capture on camera.  This is Baby J's great grandpa - Papa.

Four Wheelers

Baby J loves riding the 4-wheeler.

In this picture, Baby J is yelling: "Watch Out Mama!"

He was afraid LB was going to run over me! He's so sweet, didn't want his mamma to get run over!

This might have something to do with why he likes riding it!

Boys!

Gardening Season Is Over

Well, gardening season is over.

I'm always glad when it's over, but always ready when it's time to plant again.

I love the look of fresh plowed dirt, don't you?

Even Though...

Even though, I've been away from the blogging world, I have still been taking pictures like crazy!

I even had an impromptu photo session with Baby J after church a couple Sundays ago.  For only taking about five minutes, I got a couple really good ones!

We were having lots of fun!

I even got a pretty good one of Moose.

A Picture Worth 1,000 Words

I love this picture!

When Baby J was born, Moose was beside himself.  He didn't know what to think about this little thing that smelled and stunk and took his mom's time away from him.  But over time, Moose has warmed up to him.  Baby J is learning to play with him.  He throws his toys and gives him snacks.  He is also learning to pet gently.

The other morning, Baby J wanted to read the paper just like I was doing.  So, he sat down next to Moose to read to him.  Baby J told him all about what was on the paper.  He petted him gently and once he was done reading, he just sat there next to him.  Quietly petting and talking to him.  It was so sweet!  Pictures are definitely worth 1,000 words!

Pumpkins!

My garden did very well this year in the pumpkin department.

That's actually ok by me because I love pumpkins.  And Fall.

Those of you who live in Oklahoma will understand how much I've been enjoying the last several days!

I also love my Indian and Eagle!

Who would have ever thought a chainsaw would make a good art tool?

I hope you're enjoying you're fall too!
