Three Months and Counting

My baby boy is officially 3 months and 3 weeks old!

My how time flies when you're having fun!

Like I mentioned eariler, I of course am late.  I was a week late taking Baby J's 3 month pictures, and two more weeks late on posting them. But once you see his cute face, you'll melt, and it won't matter that I was late anymore.

So, if you're not prepared to have your heart melted then close out now and don't look back.

These pictures will get to you, consider yourself warned!

But, maybe I'm a little biased.

Yesterday

Yesterday, was my baby's birthday.  Well, not my baby baby's birthday, my big baby's birthday. The father of my baby's birthday. My honey's birthday. My ....
I think you get the picture.

And, I, like everything else I try to do anymore, was late on posting this.
But, it's better late than never.

So, here it goes...

Happy Birthday LB!

It's That Time

Well, the summer has come and gone and we've finally received a little moisture. And along with it some cooler weather!  Hallelujah!  Which means, it's time to sow wheat again.

But, unfortunately, because of the drought, we are sowing wheat later than normal. We were waiting for some rain before beginning.

Now, let's all just keep praying that the weather will cooperate so we'll have a crop next year!

So, for the next week or so, we'll all be busy with farm work again.

I really shouldn't say again, because we never stopped having farm work. Sowing wheat is just one of those things like harvest. Once you start, you don't stop until it's done!

Family Reunion

Most people's busy holiday season begins around thanksgiving, but mine begins much earlier. Mine begins around the first of October.

For most of my life, the busyness is kicked off with a family reunion at my parents house. And that's just where it began this year.

LB, Baby J, Moose and I packed up early last Saturday morning and headed to Stillwater for the shindig!

This was Baby J's first time to meet the extended family. And his second time to see his cousins.  As I'm sure it is with most new moms, I had a good time showing him off!

Like usual, my dad had some sort of entertainment for the kids. This year it was a mechanical bull. And like usual, it wasn't just the kids who enjoyed it, my uncle even joined in on the fun (although I didn't actually get a picture of it this year.)

After everyone was thoroughly bucked off, we took our annual wagon ride.  This year, everyone surveyed the damage my parents had from the tornado last April.  Surprisingly enough, things didn't look as bad as they did at first. My sister and I attributed it to all the new growth that the trees were putting on. When things are green, it just makes everything look happy!

Things were a little different this year.  Due to the burn ban, my dad couldn't cook out like usual. But, not to worry, we didn't let anyone starve, the meal was catered by Bad Brad's BBQ! Yum

All in all, it was a great day and like always, I am already looking forward to next year!
