Last Year's Vacation

Due to my epic computer overload last year, I didn't get the chance to tell you about our family vacation.  LB and I had been married 10 years and this was the first trip we took by ourselves!  And of course Baby J went too.  Our destination, Branson Missouri.

We went in mid September thinking that the weather would still be perfect for swimming.  I picked a hotel with an outside pool not having any clue what we were going to get.  This was one of the coolest pools I've ever swam in.  You could swim all the way under that waterfall.  But despite the awesome pool and the warm days, the water just about froze us to death!

On one of the days, we visited Silver Dollar City.  Baby J had never been to an amusement park and was fascinated by the log ride.  We stood on the bridge and watched several of the logs go by when he finally decided that he needed to go for a ride too.  He loved it!  Luckily we didn't get very wet because before what did get wet could dry, Branson was hit by a downpour and we got wet anyway!  During the rain storm, we took refuge inside the candy shop!  That is the worst place to get stuck because I think I spent more money in there than any of the other shops.  Thank goodness we had a lot of walking ahead of us.

Baby J had a good time too.  He got so tired that he just couldn't go another minute. I'm glad I packed the stroller!

We visited several other attractions and have many more stories but I'll have to share them with you tomorrow.

Love, Amy
