Strawberry Hats

The other day, Baby J discovered the holes inside strawberries.

So, he loaded them up!

This made him happy!

Very, very happy!

Yum!

Thanks

I'm so thankful for all my friends who continue to stop by to see what I'm up to even when it's been several, several days between post.

You know sometimes life just happens. It seems to happen to me quiet often!  I don't mind. I love my family. And I love my life.   So if I miss a few days blogging because I've stayed up too late watching a movie with my hubby, or because Baby J refuses to sleep in his toddler bed and caused me overslept due to pure exhaustion, I figure you'll understand. After all, I will only have this day, hour, or minute once. And frankly, I'd rather spend time making maracas out of Easter eggs and rice than spending time on the computer.

So, thanks for being patient with me when life takes over.  I love blogging and I will always come back.

Luckily, things are beginning to slow down so I should be back in full swing before you know it!

See ya soon,
Amy

Psalm 37:23-24

23.  The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24.  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his mighty hand.

Time

Today is Tuesday, but it feels like a Monday.  And since it feels like Monday I am off.

I've never been the most punctual person. I honestly do try, but the forces are against me and being on time is just something that l'll never be able to do!  So, this morning in all my crazy rushed Monday offness I some how managed to be on time!! It was a nice surprise when I walked in and discovered that the time I thought I was supposed to arrive at my destination was actually 15 minutes earlier that needed.  So the 15 minutes late that I was running was actually ok.

I may just pretend that I didn't discover this time arrival discrepancy, that way I will be early for the rest of he week!

Hey, now that I think about it...did they tell me 15 minutes earlier for a reason?

Feelin' Lazy

Hello,   hope everyone is having a wonderful week!  I know I am.

Today was the start of our Vacation Bible School!  (If you are in my area, you should drop by.  We're having lots of fun)  It  has been several years since I helped at a VBS and I forgot how much energy was needed to keep up with those kids!  It was lots of fun and I am looking forward to the rest of the week.  Baby J on the other hand, was not sure what to think about being woke up extra early.  But, he did like the idea of cookies and Kool-Aid!

We are getting rain!  I'm so excited!!  Yesterday our gauge measured over one inch!  It was the perfect slow soaking rain we have been needing.  Baby J enjoyed running around in it and he thought the streams running out of the gutters was even more fun.  Please pray that we will be on the receiving end of what is still in the forecast; we need as much as we can get!

I made a new cookie recipe last night.  It was really good and I ate way too many!

Farming is a little slow right now.  We are just plowing and straightening up terraces getting ready to sow wheat.  The cattle will be glad for this rain, it should perk up the grass that was quickly dying!

Well, that's all for now!

Pineapple Update

Here a while back, I told you about my Summer Experiment.  Well, so far, everything is going good.

Not only does it have good roots, it now has new leaves!

Now, if it'll only make a pineapple!

Watermelon

This is my first year to try watermelon.  And personally, I think, the watermelon plant is the prettiest of everything I've grown so far!

The leaves by themselves is even pretty!

But, the best part is this!

I actually have watermelon!

Yum!

Noah's Ark

This is one of my toys from when I was little.

There are 20 sets of animals and a Noah and Mrs. Noah.
Surprisingly, it's still in very good condition!

Baby J loves playing with it in the kitchen sink while I'm cooking!
It may make a mess on the floor (after all, the boat was originally built for a flood), but it keeps him out from under my feet!

I Did Not Fall Off The Face Of The Earth

No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I'm still here.  Sometimes, it seems as if my life just gets away from me and before I know it, I haven't posted anything in over a week!

This time I blame it on my parents!

That's right.  You see, my parents came for Baby J's birthday and I cleaned the craft room/spare bedroom.  Which means that my computer desk is now clean, which means that I put my computer up for the first time in like a year.  Which means, that I have to go upstairs to have access to my computer.  And I always have the intentions to run up and post something. Snd then i forget or get distracted.  And then the next thing I know, it's 10:00 and I'm about to crash on the couch.  And, frankly, sometimes I just don't want to go upstairs!

So, you see, it's all my parents fault. Right?

No?

Well....

Although it's been awhile, I haven't forgotten about you. I have taken lots of pictures that I have intended to share over the pas several days!

Like my pineapple. And the decorations I made for Baby J's birthday, and the cute little bench LB bought me just because. (Isn't he sweet?  I think I'll keep him!)

So, please stay tuned. I'll go upstairs, no matter how tired I am! I promise!
