Pumpkin Carving

Tonight, Baby J and I carved a pumpkin.

Baby J wanted to help...

So, I gave him his own scoop to help scrape out the seeds.

Moose doesn't want to be left out!

Ok mom what do we do now?  All the guts are gone!

Hello everybody!  Meet Jack!

Have a Happy Halloween!

Ace Hardware Paint

So, I have decided on paint for my Utility Room

I want to paint my walls:  Forgotten Secret.  and then all the accent pieces Chilled Lemonade.

I was very excited to find out that Ace Hardware paint is made here in the USA!  What a great start to my challenge!

So, if you need to paint anything, check out all of Ace Hardware's colors.  You might find something you like!

Etsy Shop Additions

So, I know I blogged about my etsy shop and my Jack O'Lantern books.  And then I didn't put any in the shop for sale.  There is a very good reason for this, I can't figure out how to ship them without bending them up.

But I did put my pumpkin mask in the shop.  There are three different designs and three different colors.

So if you're interested, stop by:  The 46th Star

Thanks, Amy

Pumpkin People

What do you do when you have a bunch of pumpkins lying around?

Well, you stack them up, then you give him a face and a hat!

I think my fireman needs a hose!

The Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weeks ago our Mommy's group went to the pumpkin patch!

It was a very bright sunshinny day.  Beautiful weather for a trip to the pumpkin patch
.

There were babies of all sizes.

And strollers and wagons everywhere!

The kids had a great time.

They could have their pick of any of the pumpkins and Baby J chose the smallest one he could find!

And this little fella had to make sure it was ripe before he chose.  He knocked on every one!

It was a great trip and I already can't wait until next year!

Time to Catch Up

1.) I have discovered that I am busier as a stay home Mommy than I have been at any other time in my life!

2.)  My 5 pumpkin seeds produced more pumpkins than I ever imagined they would!

At last count I was up to 27!

3.)  I am still working on USAifying my utility room.

4.)  Baby J got to ride in a fire truck last week during the Kindergarten's fire safety trip to the fire department.

5.)  We all loaded up and went to Stillwater for our family reunion.  I took my camera and a dead camera battery.

I think I am suffering from an overloaded brain!

6.)  Our small town had a craft fair last weekend.

7.)  LB celebrated another birthday.  I won't tell you how old he is, but I will tell you that he is older than I am!  And that makes me smile!  Only because I'm not that old!

8.)  Baby J went to bed the other night, and when he woke up the next morning he had grown 3 inches and none of his pants fit!

9.)  Baby J got four of his molars.  He was not a happy camper!

10.)  This is the end of the news!

My How Time Flies!

So I did not realize until last night that it had been a week since I posted anything!

Time just got away from me!

There have been lots of things going on.

1.)  Baby J and I went to a pumpkin patch with our friends.

2.)  I let Baby J eat ice cream bars outside while I worked in the garden.

3.)  LB finished sewing wheat.

And this is the second time in eight years I haven't gone to the field while LB was sowing.

4.)  Baby J and I went to the zoo in OKC.

I forgot to take my camera so all my pictures of this trip are courtesy all my friends that I went with and I don't have them down loaded to my computer yet!

Well, that's about it for this past week.  I'll try to post some pics of the zoo later.

Over and Out

So, I'm addicted!

So, I made a mistake the other day!  I decided to sell stuff on ebay.

Since I am redoing my utility room I am getting rid of all the decorations.  Usually I just toss stuff I don't want any more in my garage sale box, but this time I decided to try ebay.  And believe it or not I sold six things!

I was so excited I dug some more stuff out of my garage sale box and put them on ebay too.

I'm kinda addicted now!

On top of that, I opened an Etsy shop!

I've told you about my Halloween decorations.  Well, a couple years ago, I decided to make a bunch of the Jack o'lantern books and try to sell them in our local craft fair.

I actually ended up making a bunch of different things for halloween and Christmas.  So I am putting the leftovers on Etsy.  Heres the link to my shop:  The 46th Star

I named my shop The 46th Star because Oklahoma was the 46th state to be added to the union.  I felt like it was fitting since most everything is truely made in the USA!

I know I only have a few things for sale on etsy right now, but I've been adding a few things every day!  So make sure you check back often!

Today's List

1. Saturday LB and I joined my parents on a trail ride!

Wasn't it raining on Saturday you ask?

Well, yes it was and LB and I were very wet.  which is why I don't have any pictures.  But I will tell you this, it was one of the most beautiful rides I've been on.  It was very pretty despite the rain.

2. I have lots of frozen vegetables in my freezer!

This winter I will be glad I took the time to clean and cut and shred.  I just wonder what I'm going to do with all the spare time I have this winter once my garden is done for the year!

3.  Before long, we are going to have to start hiding the keys!

4. Everything is ready for sewing wheat.  We're just waiting for the field to dry a little after that wonderful rain!

5.  Baby J loves his daddy's hats!

He also loves looking out the window and waving at anything and everything!

Well, I feel better now that you are thoroughly informed!
