Before and After

Before LB and I had Baby J, I went to the farm with him almost every day...

Moose had a lap all to himself...

evenings around the house were a lot quieter...

And LB and I had more time to be romantic!

And now, My hands are full...

LB's quiet evenings are gone...

And life as we knew it will never be the same!

My Flower Bed

Last year in June, LB built me a flower bed.  Well, because of a certain little boy, I never put any flowers in it last year.  Well, this year we started out with plenty of rain so we planted some flowers.  And despite the drought, it's still doing pretty good.

This is cock's comb.

This is Rose moss.

I have a few other kinds of flowers in there, but while I was taking pictures for yall, I had an unexpected visitor.  Well, I ended up spending the rest of the time taking pictures of him.

Say hello to Mr Bee:

An Update on My Garden

My garden is growing!

My water bill is also growing!

My okra has finally decided to put on blooms.  I hope they don't wait long to decide to open!  A side of fried okra sounds really good!

My corn is not as big as it could be, but it's holding it's own
.
I have squash and zucchini running out my ears.  I am even having a hard time giving it away!

I am even going to have a few pumpkins this year!

Hope everyone is having as productive a garden as I am!

Saturday

Saturday, LB and I packed Baby J into the car along with his wagon, an ice chest, lunch and a slew of snacks.  Then we headed off toward The City to spend the day at the Zoo.  (Well, we had a couple errands too.)  Then  off to dinner with my parents.

Now, for those of you who are from Oklahoma, you know what happened Saturday.  But for those of you who aren't from here I'll tell you.

When we were about 15 minutes from the zoo, the heavens opened and the rain came pouring down!  Now, I'm in no way complaining about getting rain, especially since we are in the middle of a drought.  I just can't believe that the first time It rained in two years, happened to be the day we planned a trip to the zoo!

So, we ended up doing our day backwards.  We ran our errands in the rain.  Then, once we were all thoroughly starved, we parked under an awning that LB found and had a picnic.  The rain added a nice background to our dinner!  Then, just as we were pulling out of the parking lot, the rain stopped!  I don't think anyone could have timmed it any better.

So, off to the zoo we went!

We unpacked the wagon and the ice chest and the baby, when I realized I forgot my camera!  I couldn't believe it.  I never go anywhere without my camera!  Especially on an event such as this!  The above picture was taken with my phone and it's the only one I got!  Oh well, I guess that means we'll just have to go back!

I was very disapointed  because I knew Baby J would give me many photo opportunities to share with you all.  And he did.   I just better not forget it next time!

My New Car

LB brings home projects from time to time.

But this time, the project is going to become mine once it's finished.  LB just doesn't know it yet!

This is a 1947 Willys Jeep.  And honestly, I think it is really cool!  And lots of fun!

LB and I drove it all over the pasture, even though it didn't have any brakes, and it performed wonderfully!  It drove into the pond, through the water way and over terraces just like that's what it was made to do!

I think It'll look nice once it's all fixed up and painted Blue with White vinyl seats.

Don't you?

Good, then let's try to convince LB!

USA Pans

Today I two of these.

These are made in USA cookie sheets.

I got these cookie sheets from my new sister-in-law.  Well, she's actually my only sister-in-law.  Anyhow, she has some of these and likes them so for my birthday, she got some for me.

I am very excited.  You see, I didn't like my old cookie sheets they are old and worn out!  And these cookie sheets are Made in the USA!

They are made my a company called USA Pans.  You should check out their website, there is lots of cool stuff.  Stuff that I hope will eventually fill my cabinets.  Like this:
I think this looks like fun!

I think tomorrow I'll make some cookies!

Lysol

This is one of the products I use to clean the bathroom.

This is the other product I use in the bathroom.

And I keep this around for various other occasions.

Of course these products are Made In The USA.  It's kinda nice knowing that all these products are made right here in the good ole USA.  I know that it's a small item, but it's keeping my hard earned money right here and going to someone else whose working hard right here in the USA.

Ok, so I'll get off my soap box...

I don't know if all Lysol products are made in the USA, but I do know that these three products are.  It is printed right on the back of the bottles.

What Happened?

Ok, so I'm not really sure what happened!

I have been making banana bread for seveal years and I've never had this happen.  I even baked it for an additional 15 minutes and it was still this runny! I must have left out some of the ingredients!

I guess I'm just loosing my mind!

A 60th Birthday

This is my dad.  He turned 60 last month!

We love my Dad so much we all wanted to be just like him.

So, we donned our moustaches and went to Red Lobster for bread and salad!

Baby J even wore one for a couple of seconds!

After our bread and salad, we took our troup to Bad Brads for Barbcue!

Party hats were in order for this stop!

By this time we were starting to get kinda thirsty, so we stopped at Sonic for a drink!

Next we decided to see how my Dad's golfing skills were.

It was a lot of fun and really really hot!

Baby J didn't understand what was so hard about golf...

He never missed!

Next it was off to the house for cake and ice cream.

It was a great day!

I love you dad!

A Few More Tidbits From My Trip

I know that my trip was a couple of weeks ago, but I'm never on time for anything.  So, here are the few remaining photos that I just couldn't pass up sharing with you!

My sisters made an M & M trail through thte apartment for Baby J to follow.  I'm not really sure the purpose of this, but I have about  pictures of this.

On Thursday morning before the trip to the Aquarium, we went to Krispy Kreme.

This is my nephew, he liked his doughnut with icing on top!

The kids really liked watching tthe doughnuts being made!

Well, that's about it for our trip.  Tomorrow I'll tell you about my dad's birthday.
(He turned 60!  But don't tell anyone!)
